Podcast Interview with Derek Dodds AyahuascaPodcast.com
Sam from Ayahuasca Podcast contacted me to discuss my book on the ayahuasca ceremony. Sam owns a retreat in Coumiba and has a thriving podcast dedicated to plant medicine. We discuss themes from my book and my journey with plant medicine and healing.
Some topics include ceremony preparation, tips for having a good ceremony, recommendations for the retreat weekend (i.e., never leave after the first night), and one of my favorite tips—if you can crawl to the alter, you can (and must) drink another cup.
Colombia Ayahuasca Retreat
Sam runs a plant medicine retreat in Colombia with Taita Fernando Jojoa. Taita Fernando comes from the long Jojoa lineage, where medicine tradition has been passed on for many generations. Taita Fernando is from the Inga tribe of the Putumayo region of Colombia Amazon, where he grows and cooks his own Ayahuasca and serves at Sam’s retreat LaWayra.
Sam & Taita Fernando Jojoa
Sam offers affordable retreats in one-week increments. Each all-inclusive retreat provides the following:
- 4 Ayahuasca ceremonies
- Transport from Medellin and back (pick-up in el Poblado)
- Food – including vegan menu, water, and other drinks
- Accommodation (bed in a shared room)
- Word circles and integration guidance
- Live medicine music.
- Access to all Finca amenities – swimming pool, creek, lots of places in the nature to meditate.
- Other activities – yoga, meditation and breathing exercises
- And last but not least, a ton of healing!
Prices range from $400 to $700 depending on your chosen accommodation. This is one of the most affordable ayahuasca retreat centers in Colombia. Of course, you need to book your flight and get to Medellin.
I checked flight prices from LA to Medellin, and they are ridiculously low, from $400 to $700 roundtrip. You could change your life for less than $1500 and get the healing you have been dreaming about.
This is a fantastic opportunity—let me know when you book it!
